Hello!
Dear poetry explorer.
We had a wonderful time creating this compilation, and we thank you for embarking on this journey.
We have divided the poems by the age a child might be able to understand and enjoy them. However, these are only suggested ages, so please feel free to wander around and explore. A ‘living poetry’ activity follows every poem. These are not comprehension exercises, because, we wanted to offer something that would complement the traditional textbook approach. These are about weaving the poetic strands into the fabric of thought, feeling and everyday life. They have to be done for their secret power to unfold!
This is also a work in progress, and we would love to hear your feedback and suggestions.
Poetically yours,
Aditi Mehta ([email protected])
Harvinder Kaur ([email protected])
